Le Versant Grenache Rosé Pays d`Oc 2013
Pale pink in colour with a delicate nose, deliciously scented.Notes of red fruits (strawberry and raspberry ) combine with more floral aromas like Java apple or orange blossom. The mouth is round and generous with aromas which linger pleasantly on the palate.
Background
Grenache Noir makes some of its best wines in hot, windy sites (just like here in Mediterranean Southern France) where it tends to set few bunches but which become very flavoursome as with this Rose which is surprisingly full, tasty and almost muscular.
To create these profiles, the wine growers of Les Vignobles Foncalieu pooled all their know-how and experience. The choice of these sunny hillsides was made intentionally to get specific ripeness levels and create aromatic, elegant varietal wines.
